Community Indicators for Regenerative Circularity

PRAXZINE 2# | This is your little dose of radical thinking!

This is Praxzine: a publication sharing the reflections, learnings, and inspirations from APR ongoing projects. It’s a playful, accessible way to co-create and circulate radical ideas. Each page is a new beginning - inviting you not just to read, but to participate, adapt, and be part of our evolving community.

This second edition explores a collaborative project between the Kensington Circular Economy Precinct Community Group and APR that dives deep into the often-overlooked impact of grassroots initiatives, showcasing the Kensington Food Forest as a space that nurtures community driven values like biodiversity, social equity, and community well-being.

By co-creating 10 ‘indicators’ with the local community, the research captures less visible narratives that transcend traditional metrics, revealing the complexities of and opportunities for building a regenerative circular economy.

The two-sided Praxzine provides a summary of the research report and our counter-map of Kensington as told through the Food Forest. This zine was in collaboration with artist, architect, and Ph.D. colleague – Secil Taskoparan (@seclit). Secil says:

“We recently launched the zine with the community in Kensington, gathering under the trees to share food, stories, and ideas for what’s next. This kind of work reminds me why I love drawing as a research tool – it opens up new ways of seeing and connecting.”

The Kensington Food Forest stands as a testament to what can be achieved when diverse communities come together to regenerate both land and social fabrics. Order the Praxzine # 2 now to find out more! It is free and it can be delivered to your home:
