We’re pleased to publicly share with you about Kummargii Yulendj Barring Gadhaba // Projections of a Current Future, a radical public art intervention that reimagines Melbourne’s
CBD through the lens of Boon Wurrung knowledge and the enduring presence of water Country.
A collaboration between Boon Wurrung Senior Elder Professor N’arwee’t Carolyn Briggs AM, The Alliance for Praxis Research (APR) and Amina Briggs, this project disrupts the city’s colonial infrastructure by resurfacing the buried path of William’s Creek, reawakening the ancestral memory of water that still flows beneath Melbourne’s streets.
We are very proud to present this project as part of the Deadly Fringe program of 2025 Melbourne Fringe Festival, which emerges from the work being done by Praxis Lab RMIT with the support of RMIT Centre for Urban Research.
